Cyberdream was contracted by Matrix Entertainment to build a VR drunk-driving education simulator for use at public safety events. Players drive a car through an open world as simulated inebriation increases over time, making driving progressively harder to control, with each playthrough starting from a randomized location to vary the scenario.

Built for Talon Simulations' TX3 chair, a 3-degree-of-freedom motion platform that physically pitches, rolls, and heaves with the simulation, adding real motion feedback to the sensation of losing control behind the wheel.
MY ROLE
I was the designer on a two-person team, responsible for the world, its set pieces, and the driving experience end to end, working closely with our programmer to bring the level to a shippable state on a tight four-month timeline.
-
Assembled 5 set piece locations, including residential neighborhoods and a city center, from Unity Asset Store packs
-
Generated a 4 km² world from satellite terrain data using Gaia Pro, with vegetation placed via Vegetation Studio Pro
-
Built road networks and intersections in-house to drive Cyberdream's bespoke traffic system, populating the world with simulated vehicles
-
Optimized assets across performance thresholds to bring the level to final production state
-
Randomized player start locations each playthrough to vary the driving scenario
